HISTORY

Vitrocoat was originally developed among the worlds highest concentration of construction projects – the Middle East, out of a requirement for a practical and versatile coating system for the expanding use of glass as a cladding surface in modern construction.

Vitrocoat’s early successes included achieving specification for thousands of square metres of glass wall cladding in Dubai International Airport – one of the world’s biggest and busiest airports.

Vitrocoat has been used in every phase of development of the airport since 2006.

Dubai has very high temperatures and humidity, making coating conditions challenging.  To meet this challenge, our continuous testing program with global industry-leading standards laboratories TUV Rhineland, and Exova has ensured that performance exceeds ASTM standards for quality and durability.

This ongoing program has won us specification for Abu Dhabi’s spectacular new Midfield airport terminal – one of the biggest construction projects in the world, boasting 45,000 square metres of backpainted and printed glass.

Aside from airports, our coatings grace shopping malls, hotels, and luxury villas all over the Middle East, and we ship to our growing customer base, far and wide to Europe, the Far East and the USA .
